Saved by Grace: A Transformative Journey from Illness to Salvation through the Power of God's Grace, a Testimony of Faith and Healing

Pastor Mark baptizing Khun Nai

Let me share with you a powerful and a wonderful testimony of transformation and faith from our Bible-based Literacy (BBL) ministry in Thailand with the BBL team from Ratchaburi province led by Pastor Mark and his wife Jenny, a dedicated missionary couple from the Philippines.

This is the inspiring testimony of Khun Nai, a father whose life was forever changed by the grace of God through BBL program.

Khun Nai’s journey began when his son Tono became a student in Pastor Mark and Teacher Jenny’s BBL English class ministry. Through their dedication and love, Tono found faith in Jesus Christ, sparking a spiritual awakening in their family.

It began in April 2022, Khun Nai brought his son Tono to Mark and Jenny’s BBL English class ministry. It was during this time that Tono found faith in Christ. However, amidst this newfound faith, Mark and Jenny discovered that Tono’s father, Khun Nai was battling tuberculosis.

Despite his illness, Khun Nai opened his home to Mark and Jenny, allowing them to visit and provide essential items such as rice, oil, and eggs. They fervently prayed for his healing, and through the grace of God, Khun Nai experienced a miraculous recovery. Not only was he healed, but his family was also protected from contracting the disease.

Over the course of two years, Mark and Jenny diligently shared the gospel with Khun Nai and his family, consistently praying for them.

In February 2024, after a deep conversation about faith and salvation, Khun Nai confidently declared his belief in Jesus Christ. His understanding of the sacrificial atonement of Jesus Christ for our sins led him to a heartfelt prayer of repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ as his Savior.

Mark and Jenny reminded Khun Nai that the journey of faith is not without challenges, emphasizing the importance of counting the cost of discipleship.

Despite the potential hardships, Khun Nai shows strong commitment to follow Jesus Christ. His acceptance of Jesus as his Savior marked a profound turning point in his spiritual journey, culminating in his baptism on a day of celebration in Thailand known as Songkran, symbolized a profound spiritual cleansing and renewal.

Khun Nai’s transformation is a testament to the power of God’s grace and the life-changing impact of the gospel through BBL program. He is regularly attending worship services and eager to delve into God’s Word more, a true reflection of a newfound hunger for spiritual growth.

Khun Nai’s journey to faith and salvation reminds us of the transformative power of Christ’s love and the importance of steadfast prayer and faithful ministry.

May this testimony serve as an encouragement and inspiration to all our BBL facilitators, partners and sponsors, reaffirming the impact of BBL ministry in transforming lives and spreading the message of hope and salvation.

Reflections: Salvation

Khun Nai’s story reminds us of the scriptural foundations that can guide and inspire our faith journeys.

The power of prayer, as seen in Mark and Jenny’s fervent prayers for Khun Nai’s healing and spiritual well-being.

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16.

The sacrificial atonement of Jesus Christ, which led Khun Nai to a heartfelt prayer of repentance and acceptance of Christ as his Savior.

“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds, we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5.

The importance of sharing the gospel and making disciples, as Mark and Jenny diligently did with Khun Nai and his family, leading to his baptism and spiritual renewal.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20.

Khun Nai’s journey from illness to faith in Christ symbolizes the transformation and renewal that comes from accepting Jesus Christ as Savior.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:17.

The enduring commitment and love of God for His people, as demonstrated through Khun Nai’s unwavering faith and commitment to Christ despite potential challenges.

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39.

Glory be to God! With gratitude and blessings.
