Saul’s passion led him to oppose Christians. He believed they were spreading false teachings about God. Because of this, he actively worked to stop them.

The Bible tells us in Acts 8:3 that Saul began to destroy the church. He went from house to house, arresting believers and putting them in prison.

God sent a disciple named Ananias to help Saul. This was not easy because Saul was known for persecuting Christians.

But Ananias obeyed God.

He went to Saul, laid his hands on him, and prayed. Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again (Acts 9:18).

Saul was baptized and began a new life.

After his transformation, Saul—now called Paul—began to share the message of Jesus with others.
